About Dominican Dental Guide

Built by a resident, not a clinic

I'm Zara. I came to the Dominican Republic on holiday in 2017, came back, and stayed. Home is Cabarete, on the north coast, and I've had residency since 2020. This site is how I answer a question I hear all the time: can I really get my dental work done in the DR, and who can I trust to do it?

Why this site exists

Before the DR, I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the UK, then ran a Google Ads agency and spent years inside the numbers of more than a thousand businesses. Numbers are how I make sense of decisions, and dental tourism is a decision people are asked to make with almost no reliable numbers at all.

If you search for dental work in the Dominican Republic, most of what you find is marketing. Clinics reviewing themselves, prices that only appear after you hand over your contact details, and listicles written by people who have never been here. Meanwhile the savings are real, often 50 to 70 percent on big cases, and so are the risks of picking the wrong provider. What was missing was an independent place that lists the clinics, shows the published prices, and checks what can actually be checked. So I built it.

What we check, and what we don't claim

Every dentist practising legally in the DR holds an exequatur, a licence number in the national registry of roughly 18,000 professionals. Where a clinic carries our verified badge, it means we have matched its dentists against that official registry, not that the clinic paid us. Ratings shown on listings are Google's own, clearly labelled, and clinics cannot pay to change a rating, a review, or where they appear on this site.

Prices shown are the clinics' published marketing prices, useful for comparison, but your own written quote is the only number that counts. And nothing on this site is medical advice: confirm treatment, costs, and credentials directly with a clinic and a qualified professional before you decide.

How the site makes money

We may receive a fee from a clinic when a patient books treatment through us. That fee never increases what you pay, you deal with and pay the clinic directly, and it buys no influence over reviews or rankings. The full detail is in our affiliate and advertising disclosure.
